  • Quality connections to advisors, mentors, and funders for those looking to pursue a nonprofit or business idea.
  • Mentor connections that develop organically and often.

Jenni Graff

Jenni Graff has built a career in Montana by making human connections and helping others identify and market their strengths to employers. She began her professional life in sales and marketing roles for some of the largest and most innovative employers in the region before completing an MBA from the University of Montana in 2016.

Jenni’s true passion is helping businesses grow by attracting talented individuals. She launched Silvergate Recruiting in 2018, where she works with businesses to improve their recruiting and hiring practices; focusing on scaling recruitment processes, attracting and retaining technical and senior-level employees, improving diversity, equity and inclusion hiring efforts, and talent attraction branding initiatives.

Jenni is active and well-networked in the Montana business community. She serves as President of the board of the Montana Ambassadors. She is also passionate about the link between higher education and career pathways and has served on UM’s College of Business Advisory Council. She has taught courses at UM in personal branding and digital marketing. When she’s not serving on boards, conducting interviews, or consulting with businesses, you can find her high in the hills around Montana.

Course Details

  • Online: work is done independently and autonomously to meet deadlines

  • Starts Monday, January 31st and ends on Friday, March 18th, 2022
  • Optional Tuesday evening lab from 6:00-7:30 PM for questions, occasional guest speakers, virtual relationship building with classmates, and a deeper dive into course content (can also watch recordings of live sessions on your own time)

Ashley Metesh-McCoy

Ashley Metesh-McCoy is a mom of two precocious girls, wife to an Active-Duty Army Officer, animal-lover, serial entrepreneur, and an amateur purveyor of culinary delights! She is originally from Western Montana with family spread from Philipsburg, to Butte, to Missoula, to Helena, but has been traveling the world for 30 years - first as an Army brat, then as an Army Officer, and most recently as an Army Spouse. She has a Bachelor of Art History from the University of Washington (Seattle) where she also commissioned as the top graduate of her Army ROTC class as a Military Intelligence Officer in the Washington Army National Guard. In 2006-2007 she was deployed to Afghanistan where she met the love of her life and current husband, LTC Michael “Kelly” McCoy. Since then, she resigned Army service as a Captain, earned an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and worked in the travel industry in various levels from Corporate Strategy at Carnival Corporation in Miami, Florida to her own businesses as an award-winning travel agency, Kinship Vacations, and most recently as a business coach / consultant for fellow travel agents with Kinship Travel Academy. She has a deep passion for helping women entrepreneurs succeed at all levels and is always looking for ways to contribute to the rising tide of women-owned businesses.
