Micro-Courses

Montana Women's Business Recovery Series, produced by Accelerate Montana and WELL in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funded by the US Economic Development Administration, WELL offers 8 Micro-Courses to support rural, Indigenous, and urban Montana women that are current or aspiring business owners or working professionals. Our goal is to provide real-world solutions for women that can be implemented based on practical, hands-on learning.

These courses are open to all and designed with Montana women in mind.

How It Works:

  • Micro-courses are offered in the WELL WBC Online Community. In addition to course learning, our online community is a place for opportunities to connect with other learners, and a network of peers, mentors, and access to additional resources and trainings. 
  • Each course is designed to be completed on your own time and independently, at whatever pace works for you. You can expect to spend around 16 hours of learning time per course.
  • Lessons include 4-6 modules with a variety of hands on activities, videos, readings, and community discussion topics.
  • WELL supports the idea that every person should have access to make changes in their lives. Micro-Courses have a pay-what-you-can model, including a free option. 
Crisis Communications
Discover how to effectively communicate with employees, media, partners, vendors, customers/clients, and your greater business community during a crisis.
 
Insights and activities focus on drafting crucial messages, using proper verbiage, and choosing appropriate communication channels.

Crisis Leadership
Examine how leaders need to adjust their leadership styles to lead organizations through crisis situations.
 
Discussion includes a build off core leadership principles, and established crisis leadership strategies. This course is designed to empower leaders to make decisions, cut through misinformation and lead their organization through any crisis.
